June Update 2012

It’s been another productive month down here at the Fryernings complex seeing lots of large stunning fish gracing the banks
With the strong winds really getting them going. The fish have now finished their yearly ritual across all three lakes, seeing the fish successfully dropping their spawn.
The main lake is still producing good numbers of 30s although the fish are down in weight, the open water swims seem to be producing some of the best results. These fish are hungry after spawning and are really getting there heads down. A large amount of DT Bait Developments N Blend seems to be their down fall. Marc Smith ended a recent dry spell by putting the net under a cracking 36lb mirror along with another mid 30, effort equals rewards. Alan Millington banked a 32lb koi known as the pearl. Well done to Peter Weedon who banked the very impressive ‘mommon’ at a spawned out weight of 37lb 8oz. John Pond banked a new pb in form of the 41lb 4oz.
Down on the Valley and Car Park lakes, the fish have not let anyone down. Loads of fish continue to be caught making their captors very happy indeed. The average weight is up on last year with most fish being around a spawned out weight of 25lb plus. Fishing a little 12mm hi-vis pop up over a spread of bait seems to be doing the business
